What were you doing last friday, March 11th, at this time? Janine Chiong, CEO of Habi Footwear, was exchanging ideas for the empowerement of women entrepreneurs in GREAT Women Forum.

The event happened inside the Yuchengco Museum, in RCBC Plaza, Makati, and was organized by GREAT Women Project, a face of ASEAN that works for supporting women's economic empowerement in the Philippines.

The idea is to rethink structures that are perpectuating inequality, by making women not only have the role of consumers, but also of leaders in the business chain. "This project is about women holding hands and moving forward" said Jeannie Javelosa, during her speech.

Besides great talks about the conquests of women in filipino business and ways of improving the sales of their social businesses, GREAT Women Forum also had space for the performance of female artist Aze Ong and a rich display of products of women-owned brands that support local craft. We hope we'll be joining them next time. :)
